1st Note: The following version is as was done by Art on his 4/4/97 and

beforehand is beyond me...

             D A G D
Did they wake you up to tell you that

There'd been a change in plans
               G A Bm E
Oh dream up, dream up, let me fill your cup

With the promise of a man

2nd Verse:

Did I see you walking with the boys
Thought it was not hand in hand
And was some black face in a lonely place
When you could understand?

Chorus

3rd Verse:

Will I see you give more than I could take?
Will I only harvest some?
As the days fly past, could we lose our grasp
Or fuse it in the sun?

Chorus
Last two lines of chorus.

Suggestion from Jerad (JERADS3D@aol.com)

Jason,
I've been listening to a MP3 of Harvest as covered by Art at a live
event. I kept trying to play along with the MP3 but it never would sound
right. I pulled out my Capo and put it on the second fret. Then starting off
with an A chord matches perfectly. The next chord is a bar chord starting on
the 9th fret 5th string and then sliding this position up to the 7th fret.
I've been trying to figure it out from there but I'm kinda stuck. I think
there may be a chord I'm missing but I cannot decipher it.
