Santa Baby
As recorded by Everclear on various Christmas recordings
Tabbed by Jason P (jasonsevercleartabs@hotmail.com)
The whole song is based around a four chord progression :
A F# B E
The Bass goes likes this:
G|----------------------------------|
D|o--------------------------------o|
A|o-0----0---------2-----2---------o|
E|----------2----2---------0-0-2-4--|
The Guitar plays the occasional arpeggio of the chords and
some lead bits that I haven't worked out yet
In the Chorus, each chord is played a bit longer
e.g.
A
Think of all the fun I've missed
F#
Think of all the girlies I haven't kissed
B
Next year it could be just as good
E
If you take off my Christmas list
Suggestion from Stellerclear@aol.com
bass transferred to a guitar....its really the same
e|-----------------------------------|
B|-----------------------------------|
G|-----------------------------------|
D|-----------------------------------|
A|----0-2h3--3h0--0h5-5------0-2h3---| repeat over and over
E|-3---------------------------3-----|
Suggestion from Kevin Pish (Pisherman1@aol.com)
The chords are A major, F#7, B7, and E major.
The lead parts are pretty simple, You play the chords just pick the top
strings in the chord and then the the bottom string in the chord. You just
have to sound it out right.

Suggestion from Steve (Coffeeandbeer@aol.com)
A coworker asked me to accompany her on guitar for this song at our company
Xmas party. Not sure what version you have, but the one she gave me (Eartha
Kitt I think) actually has one additional chord to the way you've got it. If
you're playing it in the key of A, it jumps to a C on the line "Think of all
the fun I've missed."
Just a thought,
Steve
