The first and second chord is right ( G & c9 ) as well as the fourth (back to the C9) but the third one has to go. It had me for a little while but i knew it was an Em of some sort. Try playin an open Em and the 1st string on the 2nd fret together then go to the C9. I'm pretty sure thats it. I worked along with this (totally by ear, I heard the song earlier today, it was stuck in my head and i wanted to learn it) and took out my electric and messed with it. You can tell the note on the D string is off, and the one on the high E sticks out too much. Thanks. -dustin Suggestion from Sam Bass (gish001@hotmail.com) hey jason, my name's sam from england, i was looking over your everclear tabs the other day and i noticed all that confusion over the main riff to unemployed boyfriend, well i'm here to set the record straight they're all wrong, the song is actually played as follows: g5 3x0033 c9 x32033 em9 x7x077 c9 x32033 that's how it's done, that other guy said the third chord should be played x75077, that's acceptable but not the proper way , the problem with that being if the d or g string goes slightly out of tune you get that weird echoe-y sound from where the strings aren't vibrating at the exact same pitch, i'm so certain i'll state my reputation on it , not that i have one but maybe i'll gain one from proving those that came before me wrong. The closest anyone came to the chord was Scott Ryan with 076077. But that's still not right.
